A bit fed up with our easy, mellow lives we wrote this song. We tried something new, a little more experimental, but still very guitarish. The lyrics, inspired by artits like The Tallest Man on Earth, are yearning for something bigger. Something waiting behind the corner?
lyrics
Every single leaf fell from a greater tree
But no one ever fell out of the heavens into my well
Hello lonely boy without a heart or a soul
I can't walk you home, 'cause these are foreign streets
Time is all you get in this endeavour
I pray to see some sun between the showers of rain
Every story told, by the sea or in a dream
Spices grown too old in the eye of the storm
The fallen leaves are green, I watch them float around in streams
Through streets that I used to walk, now in a foreign town
Time is all you get in this endeavour
I pray to see some sun between the showers of
Rain and hail, pouring down on me and finally
A resting rage is growing out of its encagement
Time is all you get in this endeavour
I pray to see some sun between the showers of
Rain and hail, pouring down on me and finally
A resting rage is growing out of its encagement
(Rain and hail)
It's not what I wanted
(Rain and hail)
It's not what I wanted
